- Bulganin, Nikolái (Alexándrovich)
(11 jun. 1895, Nizhni Nóvgorod, Gorki, Rusia–24 feb. 1975, Moscú, Rusia, URSS).
Estadista y militar ruso. Favorito de Stalin, fue nombrado en 1937 primer ministro de la República Rusa, la más extensa de la URSS. Ingresó al Politburó en 1944 y ocupó luego los cargos de viceministro (1944–47) y ministro de defensa (1947–49). Ascendió a general y mariscal en 1947. A la muerte de Stalin abandonó el puesto para volver a ocuparlo en 1953–55, año en que tras apoyar a Nikita Jruschov en su lucha de poder contra
Gueorgui Malenkov, fue nombrado premier de la Unión Soviética (
1955–58). Aunque estrechamente identificado con Jruschov, se unió a un "grupo antipartido que trató de desplazarlo en 1957, lo que provocó su propia caída.
